Nancy H.  Moser (Hockman)
Nancy H. Moser, age 89, of Wooster, passed away, Monday, January 22, 2018 at Brookdale Wooster and also through the comfort and care of Life Care Hospice, following a time of declining health.

She was born on September 18, 1928 in Lakewood, Ohio to William S. and Clara F.J. (Keister) Hockman.

During her youth, her fondest memories were spent at her ancestral home during the summer's in "The Valley" of the Shenandoah, Va. area for many years.

After moving from Lakewood to Wooster in 1946, she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Biology from The College of Wooster in 1950.

She married Earl Moser on August 8, 1953 in Wooster. He passed away in 2009.

She had devoted her lifetime with social services and had worked as a Social Worker for the Wayne County Human Services Dept. from 1967 - 1992. She was also instrumental with helping to initiate and participate in the Hospice Program in Wayne County, volunteered with Planned Parenthood, The Viola Startzman Free Clinic and the Wooster Hospital Auxiliary.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Wooster; the Working Women's Investment Club; Wednesday Women's Club and League of Women Voters.

She is survived by her children, Mark W. Moser and Jeffrey E. Moser both of Wooster and Linda (Charles R.) Staples of Overland Park, KS.; granddaughters, Rachel L. Wile, Katherine J. Moser and Lucy E. Moser.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her step-mother, Mabel Hockman.

Memorial services will be Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster with Pastor Don Bolich officiating. A private committal for inurnment will follow services at the convenience of the family at Wooster Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Life Care Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, Oh. 44691.
