"To The Moon And Back"
Kathryn R. "Kathy" Shedron, age 70, of Wooster, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Friday, September 6, 2019 at her residence where she was surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Fairmont, W. Va. on August 26, 1949 to Charles Golden and Lucy Geraldine (Wright) Edgell.
She had previously lived in the Holmes County area for 14 years before moving to Wooster where she has resided for the last 7 years.
Kathy married Richard E. Shedron on October 2, 1993 in Wooster. He went home to be with the Lord on May 1, 2016.
She was a member of Mt. Zion Church of God in Wooster where she served in many capacities. She was previously instrumental with starting a food pantry at the Millersburg Church Of God for those in need; she had also fostered a countless number of children while in Holmes County; enjoyed singing and going shopping with her family in the Berlin and surrounding area's and especially loved spending time with her family and especially with all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Cecil L. Summers, Jr. of Wooster, Lisa J. Roberts of Destin, Fla., Missy (Danny) Mizer of Sandusky, Oh., Mary A. (Frank) Kruta of Fredericksburg, Oh. and Alan L. (Amber) Summers of Creston, Oh.; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Robert (Charlotte) Edgell of Wooster, Ernest (Nancy) Edgell of Moundsville, W. Va., Iris (Ruben) Stark of Wooster, Phyllis (Larry) Bellman of North Carolina, Aretta (Frank) Akers of West Salem, Oh. and Charlotte (Paul) Shetler of Wooster; her best friends, Lonnie Moore of Wooster and Shirley & Ronnie Proper of Millersburg.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her grandchildren, Caleb Allen Summers and Brittany Michelle Kruta; 1st husband, Jacob L. Briggs and 2nd husband, Cecil L. Summers and her 6 brothers and sisters.
Services will be Tuesday, 6:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Church Of God, 837 S. Geyers Chapel Rd. in Wooster with Pastor Tom Geissinger officiating.
Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the services from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the church.
There will be a time of comfort food and fellowship following the services at the church.
A private interment will take place at a later time at the convenience of the family at Wooster Cemetery.
