Obituary for Barbara E. Taylor (Scott)
Barbara E. Taylor, age 80, of Smithville, passed away, Sunday, April 21st, 2019 at Smithville-Western Care Center in Wooster following a period of declining health.
She was born on August 30, 1938 in Glenmont, Ohio to Kenneth and Marcia (Gray) Scott. She had resided in Millersburg before moving to Smithville in 1966.
Barbara married James G. Taylor on March 29, 1958 in Millersburg. He passed away in 2013.
She was owner/operator of Barbara's Beauty Shop in Smithville for over 40 years; enjoyed painting and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her son, Sam (Monalisa) Taylor of Wooster; 2 grandchildren, Rickey Miller of Wooster and Rachel Miller of Smithville; 4 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Kayti and Kameron Norris and Aria Miller; a brother, John Scott of Killbuck; a sister, Pat (Don) Williamson of Coshocton, Oh. and a special friend, Marlana (Jerome) Green of Wooster.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Taylor-Brenneman; a brother, Herald Scott and a sister, Shirley Alexander.
It was her previous wishes there be no public services.
A private interment will take place at the convenience of the family at Killbuck Cemetery at a later date.
Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is honored with serving the family.
